Joining the Raffia Mafia

The native Madagascan material raffia is without doubt having a moment. For me this became apparent when Cara Delevingne starred alongside Eddie Redmayne and some sort of biscuit in the S/S 12' Burberry campaign, I was officially sold. If you think that by raffia I am meaning beige woven bucket bags that are strictly beach attire, then think again. My favourite raffia styled garment must be the shoes, I see raffia as a fashionable alternative to hideous cork heeled shoes. However I love that it has made it into clothing and is now being used as a texture. Please join the raffia mafia...
