Hip Hip Headbands: Sophie McElligott

Open November issues of British magazines and what you will see bursting from the glossy pages are headbands, not hideous eighties velvet headbands but ornate jewelled headbands worn by the ladies in the 'The Tudors.' As a huge fan of costume jewellery, the headband is a welcome addition to my jewellery box, however finding the right one is more difficult that you might think. Dolce and Gabbana A/W 2012 collection was bursting with incredible headbands however they are not my favourite. My favourite headbands have been created by Sophie McElligott, the latest export from Central St.Martins, McElligott has channelled her love of Renaissance costume dress with her love of accessories, the product being a collection of amazing headbands.
